This Learning Objectives Verb Sheet is my secret weapon for focusing learning objectives and avoiding scope creep! Use your well-formed objectives to ruthlessly prioritize what goes into the learning experience and what stays out.
Good learning objectives encourage observable, measurable behaviors. This table features behavior-based verbs to be used in learning objectives. The verbs are organized according to Bloom’s Taxonomy and mapped to some appropriate instructional strategies.
This verb sheet is also a useful self-service tool for stakeholders to design activities themselves when you don’t have the bandwidth to support them as much as you’d like.
